300 new homes plan for Selby

Developers have revealed that they intend to build 300 new homes later in the year on the site of the former Danish Bacon factory. Bovis Homes have submitted a planning application for the derelict site at Coupland Road.

Fire at Tockwith follows village demo

Last Saturday villagers raised a 31- metre high column of balloons to demonstrate that a planned waste incinerator’s chimney would be threat to locals and a day later a fire broke out at the proposed site causing the call out of six emergency firefighting crews.
