Hands of Hope charity launched in Selby

The Selby Times Hands of Hope charity was launched at a special dinner event at Caesars @ The Abbey last Friday night. A total of 150 guests including Nigel Adams, one of the charities two Patrons attended the gala occasion that featured entertainment from local band Pure Silk.

 

Local campaigner and the charities organiser, Wendy Singh, who has raised thousands of pounds for good causes during recent years, said: "The whole aim of this charity is to do something for the people of Selby"

handsofhopelogo.jpgThe charities Patrons are TV star Tommy Cannon and Conservative election choice, Nigel Adams, who spoke about the importance of the charity at the launch night.

This brand-new bona charity aims to raise a 'local money for local people' cash pot to give something back to Selby district's precious community.

A total of £2500 was raised on the night.

The Selby Hands of Hope logo was designed by Selby High School student, Millie Bates, 12 and the design was unveiled on the night.
