selby_means_business_voucher2.jpgNigel Adams has joined forces with the Selby Chamber and Selby Times to publish a "Selby Means Business" cheque books of discount vouchers containing fabulous offers from shops and businesses in town to help boost the local economy.

13,000 of the free of charge "Selby Means Business" cheque books will be dropping through the letterboxes of Selby residents thanks to the distribution team at the Selby Times. Local residents can take advantage of some fabulous offers in the cheque book by redeeming them in shops and businesses across Selby.

Some of the offers include big discounts from local restaurants, photographers, clothes shops and even electrician.

Nigel said "This is an idea I've had for some time and I'm pleased that the Selby Chamber and the Selby Times wanted to work with me and put something together that is really going to help boost the local economy and give Selby residents some fantastic deals on goods and services"

More recently, Nigel has been campaigning to help local traders in the town by trying to get the ban on A-Boards lifted by North Yorkshire County Council, collecting and delivering a 1000 plus strong petition to the council chairman.

Nigel added "Towns like Selby have suffered badly under this recession and I'm a believer in taking action where possible and I'm very pleased at the way the cheque book of vouchers has turned out"

"I'm sure local residents will take advantage of some of the great offers in the book and this will help local traders benefit, so everyone wins"
