US based rockers All Time Low have joined local MP, Nigel Adams in urging talented musicians and film makers to enter the “Rock the House” and “Film the House” competitions.

The annual competitions offer the opportunity to put local musicians and film-makers in direct contact with the movers and shakers of the two industries, and to have the best of Chester’s talent take front and centre stage. Judged by the leading lights of industry, with prizes ranging from festival slots, studio time, top-notch equipment, and your work premiered in London’s West End, the “Rock the House” and “Film the House” competitions are a pioneering opportunity to showcase what our part of North Yorkshire has to offer.

All Time Low, pictured with Nigel at the Commons, are headlining shows at Wembley Arena next March and are among many other celebrity supporters of the competitions including Alice Cooper, Queen’s Brian May, Busted’s Charlie Simpson, Rick Wakeman, Lionsgate Films and London Film Academy.

Nigel Adams MP for Selby and Ainsty said:

“I welcome the return of Parliament’s most-hotly contested competitions, and would urge all local musicians and film-makers to enter Rock the House and Film the House. This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate our local talent and, as all nominations are judged by industry experts, there is no finer chance for our musicians and film-makers to gain exposure and win some great prizes.”

All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth said: “Rock the House is a great way for musicians to get exposure on a National stage and each year it goes from strength to strength. There’s also some great prizes up for grabs and if they want to hit the big-time then get a hold of your local Member of Parliament and enter Rock the House.”
