The Countryside Alliance’s charitable arm, the Countryside Alliance Foundation, has run the Fishing for Schools (F4S) initiative across England and Wales for over 10 years, providing free, short angling courses for schools to aid the education of 10 to 16-year-olds.

They welcome applications both from new schools and those that have previously participated in F4S. All schools and educational establishments are welcome to apply. There courses are suitable for children aged 10 -16 years of all educational abilities.

Speaking on this Local MP- Nigel Adams- said “I encourage all eligible schools in Selby and Ainsty to apply. This opportunity will enable students to learn a new skill which may even develop into a hobby. It would also enable an out of classroom leaning experience which I am sure students would enjoy. I hope to see lots of applications from our area, and would welcome participating schools to get in touch to share their experiences.”

Applications must be in before the 9 November 2018.  Successful applicants will be notified in early December 2018.

If you know any schools that would be interested, then please make them aware that applications for these courses can be made via our website: http://www.countryside-alliance.org/fishing-for-schools-apply-for-a-place-in-2019/
