Grants available to help farmers with clean-up costs after February flooding.

Nigel Adams has welcomed the announcement that the Farming Recovery Fund which provides assistance to farmers whose agricultural land has been damaged by flooding is now being opened to farmers who had land near to the River Aire flooded and damaged in February this year.  The scheme is open to farmers between Newlands and Byram. The scheme is designed to help farmers with the cost of having to repair fences, remove debris and to re-seed land used for grazing. The scheme has been designed so that it is easy to apply for a grant because eligibility has been pre-determined on the basis of satellite images of the flooding in February 2020.

Details of the scheme and how to apply can be found here
