Good news for 275 more homes and businesses in Selby – Superfast broadband now available
The waiting is over for 275 more homes and businesses in Selby. Superfast broadband is now available. This latest upgrade will enable homes and businesses to access the Internet with speeds of 40 Mega bits per second or more.
Nigel Adams MP said “I am delighted that broadband services continue to be upgraded thanks to Government funding. The upgrades are very popular with typically over 50% of internet users switching to the new service and benefitting from the faster Internet connection.”
Superfast broadband availability in North Yorkshire is now over 90% through the combined efforts of service providers like BT, the Government and North Yorkshire County Council. As soon as the new service is available residents are individually notified and advised how to get connected.
The 275 homes and businesses who can benefit from this latest upgrade are on Lime Tree Grove, Clog Mill Gardens, Elston Place, Holmes Avenue and Myrtle Avenue in Selby. They have all been notified by individual letters.
Cllr Judith Chilvers said “I am delighted that this upgrade has been completed. It was a pleasure visiting Clog Mill Gardens to deliver the good news and to talk with residents”
